The University of Jendouba was established by Decree No. 1662 of the year 2003, dated August 4, 2003. It is a public administrative institution endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The University oversees the management of higher education institutions in the North-West governorates of Tunisia (Jendouba, Béja, Kef, and Siliana). It currently supervises 14 higher education and research institutions, all fully integrated into the LMD system (Licence–Master–Doctorate).
