Program and goals for cultivation of human resources It is necessary for Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, the only maritime university in Japan, to serve as a core educational and research base for “learning about the sea in order to preserve its integrity and put it to responsible use” and to perform its missions, so that our country may develop as a maritime nation and play a role as an international contributor.
