Introduction

Tamkang is a university of ideals, vision, and creativity. It sees the pursuit of excellence and ongoing innovation as the primary means of achieving sustainable management. Since its foundation in 1950, TKU has focused on developing academic research, teaching, and learning services with an innovative spirit. Some of TKU's honors include: A National Quality Award Recipient - TKU is the first university in Taiwan to employ the system of Total Quality Management (TQM). In 2009, it was awarded the 19th National Quality Award. Enterprises’ Favorite Private University – Since 1997, TKU graduates have been voted “Enterprises' Favorites” in an annual national survey conducted by a well-received Taiwanese business magazine "Cheers." In 2020,TKU is earning the first place for 23 consecutive years. An International Safe School - In 2008, TKU was named by the WHO as an International Safe School. Subsequently, in 2012, it passed the WHO Safe School Re-evaluation. It is the first university in the world to be recognized as a safe school.
