Introduction

Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) was founded in 1907 at Tobata, Kitakyushu city in Japan and has more than 100 year-long history with our principle "to instill a deep knowledge of science and engineering in high caliber students" to produce world-leading professional engineers who can contribute to industrial and technological development and innovation of the world. We are the very first engineering university in Japan, founded as private university, then have become national university since 1949. We have about 350 faculty members and about 200 administrative staff working at 3 campuses. Tobata (main) campus is for Engineering school (undergraduate and graduate), Iizuka campus is for Computer Science and System Engineering school(undergraduate and graduate), and Wakamatsu campus is for Life Science and System Engineering school(graduate). The number of our students are about 5,600 in total (about 4,100 undergraduate students, about 1,200 Master students , and about 300 PhD students) . Our strong contributions to meet the needs of the industries for professional engineers from our school and our innovative collaboration research activities with the industries bring about our students’ job placement of more than 99% successfully after graduation. This result makes our University as one of the top universities for successful graduates.
