Introduction

The University of Aberdeen, in Scotland, has an excellent reputation for teaching quality and research, boasting a place in the Top 25 UK Universities (QS World University Rankings 2018). Over the years, five Nobel Prizes have been awarded for work carried out or begun at Aberdeen.
