Technische Universität Braunschweig is a research university with a long tradition of excellence in both research and teaching offering an inspiring environment for students and researchers in state-of-the-art facilities. Currently, more than 15,500 students study in six faculties, and around 3,800 staff members work at the university, including over 2,000 researchers based in more than 120 institutes. We are a member of the TU9 network, the alliance of the leading Universities of Technology in Germany. With our four core research areas Mobility, Metrology, Engineering for Health, and Future City, we contribute to tackling major societal challenges. We cooperate closely with the numerous renowned research institutions in and around Braunschweig - one of Europe’s most research-intensive regions. To this end, we cultivate an interdisciplinary scientific ecosystem, not only with our local partners, but also with national and international partners.
