Vanderbilt University includes four undergraduate schools and six graduate schools situated on a beautiful 330-acre campus located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Vanderbilt offers undergraduate programs in the liberal arts and sciences, engineering, music, education, and human development, as well as a full range of graduate and professional degrees. Vanderbilt’s 6,800 undergraduate students and nearly 5,900 graduate students from 88 countries are immersed in the multidisciplinary research and teaching that are at the heart of the Vanderbilt community. Nearly 50 percent of undergraduates participate in academic research, and with an 8:1 student-faculty ratio, Vanderbilt affords easy access to faculty across academic disciplines. 

 

Vanderbilt is a residential campus for undergraduate students and campus housing is guaranteed for all four years. All first-year students live on The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, a living-learning community designed to promote ongoing interactions between students and faculty, and among first-year students. Resources for international students include the Vanderbilt International Student & Scholar Services Office and 29 international student organizations. Vanderbilt students take full advantage of student life, including more than 530 student organizations, over 140 study abroad programs, Division I athletics, and a rich variety of internship and research opportunities.
